December 2003 I love marshmallows – mom likes to eat them with her hot chocolate. I’ll ask for “hot co-co and mar-ma.” I got to visit Santa Claus at the mall. I wore my new Spongebob Squarepants hat and mittens. When dad asked me what Santa told me – I told him “Buy Candy.” I got some boots and got to walk in the snow for the first time! We had 3 snows this month!! When I saw the marks the van made in the snow – I called them train tracks! I ran up and down the porch which had some snow on it watching myself make lots of tracks with my boots! Mom said that I was getting to be a big boy – I told her “Neaaooooo, I’m Ah-win.” I really like Mickey Mouse these days – I call him “Me Po.” I also say “O-Kay-ee” whenever I agree to do whatever mom or dad ask. If I leave the room – I’ll tell mom “I be right back” just like she does to me. I’ll also tell her “Go talk dad” when I leave to tell dad something. I like to be a part of all the conversations in the house – once when mom and dad were talking about mom’s research – I reached over and pointed to the paper and put in my own 2 cents worth! I like to spin around and around. I love m&ms – everytime I see any I point to my mouth and say “m m” and “mmmmm.” I had a great Christmas! I really enjoyed playing with my new gifts and watching my new movies “Finding Nemo” and “Monster’s Inc” over and over and over. November 2003 While visiting Books-a-Million – mom was helping dad find a book in the back of the store and I was pulling on mom to take me to the train – finally dad said – “go” – and I did!! Boy were mom and dad surprised when I took off across 2 aisles and made the correct turn towards the front of the store where the train is. I really like going to mom’s work – if mom talks about going – I’ll say “Ah-win mom’s work?” and once she says yes – then I try to get all my toys to go, too. “Yellow Ba (car) mom’s work?” I got to go to art school this month! I had great fun! I love circle time (like on my Blue’s Clue’s DVD) and working with playdough. We also get to do art projects – like painting and gluing. I really like to paint and color one stroke at a time – I will work through all the colors or brushes that I have – each one getting one stroke as I put it back and get the next one. I started saying “Cow” instead of “Booo” for cow. My Gram and Gramp came to visit for 3 weeks. They got me counting going up and down the stairs. I can count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 4, 13. Isn’t that right?? Gram and Gramp took me for lots of long walks – and many went by the donut shoppe. I love sprinkles! I started saying “Mommy” – it seems to get a quicker response out of mom! I like the phrase – “one more” and “one more time” and “two more” and “five more.” We went to D.C. before Thanksgiving and I got to go to the zoo, a Children’s Museum, and the WIGGLES!! Mom got me a wiggles car, and back in the hotel room, I said I had a “Wiggle Party CAR” – I thought mom was going to cry!! Oh well, I never could convince them that BA meant car anyway. I found out I could open and close the bathroom door in our room – and when we got home – I realized I can open all the doors in our house! Who knew!! October 2003 I had a play date with a kid named Eli and discovered that the library has some cool places to play – like a house (which I liked going in and out of the door!). I know P is for pig and B is for boy. My Gramma (Maw-Maw) and Grandpa (Paw-Paw) Bliss came for a quick visit one weekend. I liked Paw-Paw best for some reason – but I got Maw-Maw to take me to the park and even got her to go down the curvy slide! We saw lots of squirrels. I missed them when they were gone and reached down the driveway for them a few days later when mom was talking about them. I got some big boy diaper pants that mom can pull up like real big boy underpants! They have pooh on them! I really like Winnie the Pooh! I can sometimes go down the stairs without holding the rail if I am not paying attention and I can go up one leg at a time. We went to the Zoo and had breakfast with the animals. I learned that I really like donut holes and hot chocolate. We got some to take home and we ate them over several days. When they were gone – I said “bye do” to the box in the trash. I really like Blue’s Clues – I got a DVD that I like to watch all the time. I have found Blue’s Clues (a paw print) all over the house – the buttons on the clock radio, the cat prints on the cats bowl, etc. When I get frustrated – I say “Mmmmmrgh” like mom. September 2003 I now tell you when I'm full - or when I don't want to eat what you are offering me. "Full" I say as I cover my mouth and shoo your hand away. When something is good to eat I say "taste good." We went to Oktoberfest - they sing this great song "EIEIEIO" - but I sang "AOAOE" - sorta close. We got to stay up at Mountain Lake so we sat on the porch and listened to the rest of the music since we left early. I found out it was great fun to go in and out and in and out that door. They did a lot of swaying after each song – so on the balcony I would sway when they got to the swaying music! I loved the sausage – I ate any that were put in front of me (Whiskey Fennel, Wild Boar) as if it was candy. I say Tada when I do something good! I found out it makes mom really happy if I say 'Hi Mom' when she comes home from work and give her a great BIG hug. I know the letters O, U, T, i, E, K, and C. I can roll over on the bed and can finally really jump. I moved to #5 diapers. I like to sing in the car and nod my head to the beat. I play "find mom" upstairs. One of my favorite phrases is "that way." I tell my favorite movie Shrek "wait" as mom pauses it when we leave the room. I am finally tall enough to turn on the lights. I say "there go" for "there you go" when I give something to mom or dad. I think mom is my playmate and tell her "mom sit NOW." I like to do most things myself and say "win(Ervin) do it." I like to cover myself with my blanket. When mom tells me to do something like get a diaper change and I am busy watching Rollie Poly Olie - I tell mom "wait mo-mo" with my finger up in the wait one minute pose like mom always does to me. |
